What do you do?

What do you do

When someone asks you to pass the verdict on what happens to a stranger when they die

And all you know is that you’re grateful for a God who’s bigger and more loving than you?

What do you do

When you see what the one you love will never be capable of

And are honest enough to admit it’s that thing you most need?

What do you do

When theology and compassion collide and refuse to resolve peacefully

And you aren’t confident enough in either to place your trust?

What do you do

When the broken, twisted, warring nature of the world swirls around

And you can’t find a way out of the storm as it crashes into you?

What do you do

When you long most for a soft place to land, strong arms around you,

To be bathed in a grace still only yours by faith?
