Late to the party

When I was at church they taught me something else

If you preach hate at the service those words aren’t anointed

That holy water you soak in has been poisoned

So I know this song made waves a while back, but I have never been one to catch things when they are actually happening. Heard it for the first time this week, and it brought tears to my eyes again and again. I’m not even a fan of the genre, but the music and lyrics are woven together into a plea for grace. For justice. For love.

Comment disclaimer: Normally I would love to hear people’s thoughts on my posts. Since I know this one could be inflammatory, if you have a strongly opposing thought please feel free to send me a message or an email or a text. Or we can meet me for coffee and you can throw a cup at me or something. I’m thrilled to have a conversation; I won’t approve any hateful comments here.
